Bicultural woman

People look at her and see an Ethiopian. They are half right. She was born here, but after her first birthday her life changed forever. She moved to America and learned English. It became her primary language. She spoke it so well that nobody knew the wiser that she wasn’t American. She was taught that her home country was a land of rich history. So in her dreams she was an African princess. She worked hard to do right for her family name. Some called her a real African American, but she knew she may not belong to the title. She was just a person trying to survive in this world. Bicultural is her new title.
